Future Workplace & Office 2018

24.05.2018

It’s no secret that modern working environments are changing in ever faster cycles. The requirements of tomorrow’s ideal workplace are growing and becoming ever more complex. So it’s all the more interesting to look at the design of today’s workplaces: how can we attract and retain employees by designing workplaces appealingly? How can appropriate furniture encourage communication and collaboration – the core tasks of many offices today? What does healthy workplace design look like?

This is the ninth time that EUROFORUM is inviting innovative companies, creative thinkers and implementers, as well as interested parties from industry and society at large to the Future Workplace & Office annual conference. The two-day event will take place in Hamburg this year. What’s unique about the format is the way interactive discussion and conference formats are tied in with tours of highly contemporary local workplace concepts. Examples of new working environments in Hamburg will highlight innovative office concepts. Joint visits to creative and advanced workplaces will offer a lively source of inspiration for people to plan their own office design and also stimulate creative debate about solutions and experience gained.

As an activity partner, Wilkhahn will support the programme at the event, which will take place this year on 28 and 29 June 2018. Burkhard Remmers, international communications director at Wilkhahn, will be speaking during the symposium on Health as a Future Trend – the Workplace as a Place of Movement on Thursday, 28 June 2018. During his talk, he’ll be looking at why digitalisation requires a paradigm shift in our understanding of productivity and efficiency in working environments. In addition to successful examples from the worlds of architecture and product design, new scientific case studies on the links between fostering movement, concentration, creativity and well-being will also be presented.

Date and venue: 28 and 29 June 2018, Empire Riverside Hotel Hamburg, Bernhard-Nocht-Strasse 97, 20359 Hamburg

The conference will take place in German.
