European tour for tumbler stool

On the Côte d’Azur in Grasse, the world’s perfume capital: Stand-up as a practical sitting-standing hybrid while selecting the right fragrances.

At the beginning of May, Lisa and Jonas, two school leavers who live near Düsseldorf, set off on a trip that would take them through 18 countries over more than three months. The two of them had a slightly unusual companion with them: Wilkhahn’s Stand-up. The idea for this adventure came via Lisa’s links to the Düsseldorf-based Dyckers & Friends office furniture company that provided the Stand-up.

And whether they were on a beach in Spain, hiking in the Austrian mountains or cycling in Denmark: thanks to its low weight and little space required to stow it away, Stand-up proved to be a useful travelling companion outside the confines of the office too. Proof is provided by the almost 40 snapshots of the two of them that show Stand-up in sometimes very unusual places.

“We discovered and experienced so much on our European trip,” comments Lisa. “In lots of places, Stand-up was quite literally a fantastic support. And it also encouraged us to see some things from a completely different perspective.”
