Signatories to the climate protection plan industry declaration

Forty-one large and medium-sized companies and organizations – including Wilkhahn – submitted a joint declaration on climate protection at the start of the UN climate conference in Marrakech. They are pushing for the rapid formulation of an ambitious and unambiguous climate protection plan based on the global climate targets set out in the 2015 Paris Agreement. The companies, from all sectors of industry, call on the German government to develop a specific framework for the country’s contribution to meeting global climate targets without delay. This climate protection plan must be based on the Paris global climate agreement and let industry clearly know where it stands.

“Climate protection creates jobs and secures German industry’s competitiveness and viability. To be able to move forward with confidence when it comes to climate protection and the energy transition, companies need a reliable basis for planning and investment,” says Sabine Nallinger, head of the 2° foundation, which coordinated the industry declaration together with B.A.U.M. company network and the environmental and development organization Germanwatch.

By signing the industry climate protection plan, Wilkhahn is reinforcing its commitment to doing business that is both environmentally-friendly and forward-looking.
